In geometry I applied transformations by designing a video game with 3 levels. After designing my video game, I turned the video game into an animation. The goal of my game was to make it to the Christmas Tree star. In order to complete my game, translations, rotations, reflections, and dilations had to be used. It was important throughout the process that we remembered the differences for each transformation. I have made my character go through I dilation where they have to shrink, rotations where they need to turn in order to go the right way, transformations when they move a different place, and reflections when they mirror themselves when needed!

In Geometry I learned about the properties of parallelograms and used the properties to design a piece of stained glass. The inspiration for my stained glass was to look perfect amongst the human eye. The shapes I included in my design were trapezoids, triangles, squares, rectangles, rhombuses, and parallelograms.. I made sure that my parallelograms abided by the properties of parallelograms which are opposite sides are parallel, opposite sides are congruent, opposite angles are congruent, Same-Side interior angles (consecutive angles) are supplementary, each diagonal of a parallelogram separates it into two congruent triangles, and the diagonals of a parallelogram bisect each other.

In class we cut up and observed cookie slices. We measured angle lengths, and then correlated them to circumference, diameter, and radius. After, we learned how to find the sector area and realized that every part of a circle, or in this case a cookie, is related to on another.
