In Art, I made digital art and used components of science and art to make the word "CHEMvas." From graduated cylinders to paint brushes, each item corresponded with each other in order to find a general silhouette. The "C" was an element, "H" was a ruler and a painter, "E" was a group of atoms, and the "M" were pencils. For the "vas" part, "V" was two graduated cylinders, "A" was painted mashed together, and "S" was me painting!

Deeply Rooted
How does the symbolism of trees reflect cultural differences as well as cultural similarities? We were given the opportunity to fully dive into the question itself and learn from this experience. We came up with symbols that resembled our lives and the way we used it, but also learned about ancient and spiritual symbols that are engraved in history. Specifically in art, we made paper out of recycled paper, and crystals out of borax, hot water, and pipe cleaners. I chose to make an "A", which symbolizes Atlanta, the city I was raised in. Creating the paper itself was very messy and stressful, considering it had to look appealing to the eye. Subsequentley, next time I'll be more prepared. Everything worked out, however, because on the day of the festival, students and staff from all over the school came to watch and participate, with my art standing alongside, symbolizing what Atlanta meant to me.

A change is gonna come
