The Meaning Behind Volunteering

To me, service is all about putting others' needs above your own and offering a help hand even in times of peace but even more so, in times of crisis. Volunteers have leadership, compassion, and critical thought to be able to solve the problems that they see in the world. I choose to pursue service initiatives so that I can make a change within my school and community.
