In this assignment, I created an artistic representation of the war from Sundiata for my Beyond the Page project. I drew a detailed picture of the battle, illustrating the intensity of the fight between Sundiata and the sorcerer king. Through this project, I aimed to visually capture the themes of heroism, sacrifice, and justice that are central to Sundiata. This assignment allowed me to engage with the story creatively while deepening my understanding of the epic’s historical and cultural significance.

In this picture, I demonstrated my ability to solve two-sided equations with variables. Through this assignment, I learned how to balance equations by performing the same operations on both sides to isolate the variable. This picture is a strong example of my work because I carefully worked out each problem step by step, showing my process and ensuring accuracy. By practicing these equations, I strengthened my problem-solving skills and built a solid foundation for more advanced algebraic concepts.

In these two pictures, I demonstrated my understanding of solving systems of equations using substitution. Through this assignment, I learned how to replace one variable with an equivalent expression from another equation to find the solution. I included these pages because they represent my most recent work and show my progress in mastering this method. By carefully working through each step, I improved my problem-solving skills and built a stronger foundation for solving more complex algebraic equations.

This is a storyboard I created for my PBL Hero Project. In this assignment, I visually mapped out key scenes to develop my hero’s journey, showcasing important moments like their origin, challenges, and ultimate triumph. Through this process, I explored storytelling techniques, character development, and the structure of a hero’s narrative. This project allowed me to combine creativity with analytical thinking, helping me better understand what makes a compelling hero story.

For my Genius Hour project, I focused on improving my drawing and animation skills. To track my progress, I documented my journey on a public TikTok account, sharing my artwork, animations, and the techniques I learned along the way. This project allowed me to experiment with different styles, receive feedback from others, and refine my creative abilities over time. Through consistent practice and engagement with the online art community, I was able to see noticeable improvement in my work while gaining confidence in my artistic skills.

For this project, we were assigned to pick a random person and create a campaign as if they were running for mayor. I chose Antonio Brown, the football player, and developed a fictional mayoral campaign for him. I researched his background and imagined how his experience in the sports world could translate into leadership in politics. I created a platform for him, focusing on themes like community support and motivation, drawing parallels between his leadership on the field and his potential as a political leader. This project helped me practice creativity, research, and presenting a unique perspective.

For this project, I presented the case Obergefell v. Hodges, which was a landmark Supreme Court case related to the 14th Amendment's Equal Protection and Due Process Clauses. The case legalized same-sex marriage in the United States, ensuring that marriage rights were extended to all couples, regardless of gender. In my presentation, I explored the legal arguments, the impact of the case, and how it aligns with the principles of equality under the law. This project helped me deepen my understanding of constitutional law and the role of the Supreme Court in interpreting amendments to protect civil rights.

For this assignment in my science packet, I explored Newton’s Second Law of Motion, which states that force equals mass times acceleration (F = ma). Through this activity, I learned how changes in mass and acceleration affect the overall force of an object. By working through problems and examples, I gained a better understanding of how this law applies to real-world situations, such as vehicle movement and sports. This assignment helped strengthen my knowledge of physics and problem-solving skills.
