In ChemVAS we created periodic table stories. Each group was assigned a group of elements on the periodic table and they had to make a story that included educational aspects involving those elements. I was assigned to a group with Makiyah, Dondre, and Christian. Our group was chosen to make a story on Metalloids. Metalloids includes elements like silicon and arsenic. Once we were given our group of elements, we began constructing a story. Then, we created characters, a script, and other art. After that, we took pictures of our art and characters and combined those pictures into a video. We also did voiceovers and sound effects to go with it.

While doing this project I learned a lot about elements. I learned about their specific properties, their uses, and other interesting facts. I also learned a lot about art. For example; I learned about the rule of thirds, atmospheric perspective, and how to create a stop motion film. Overall, this was a fun project and an educational one too.

We made graphs in algebra two. We had to show many aspects about the graphs. These things include the x and y-intercept, the minimum and maximum, the domain, the range, etc. My group then color coded all of the aspects.

We made foods based on what was transfered in the Columbian exchange. My group was the Western Hemisphere. We took two things from the Eastern Hemisphere simulating the actual exchange. Then we made a dish using the food we had and compared it to the Eastern Hemisphere.

In literature, we are making sixty page books. We have to complete all sixty pages by December. That is basically the only criteria besides being grammatically correct. My book is titled Jaeger. It is about a group of operators in the Danish Jaeger Corps. The group of operators are trying to cripple a Russian military force that has spread into most of Europe.

In the visual arts portion of ChemVAS, we discussed the concept of cloud cities and eventually created our own idea of what one of them would look like. I kind if based my design off of cloud city in Star Wars. Overall it was a very interesting topic and I learned quite a bit about the actual cloud cities and a little about art.
