My idea was to create the molecular compound of salt and show it being used in everyday life. One of the most popular brands of salt being sold is Morton Salt (I changed the name to Norton and made the container white to evade copyright lawsuits) so I made a model of that container with my 3d molecule model coming out of the container as if a very large amount of salt is being poured out onto the table. I used the principle of art Scale because I knew my container had to be pretty high up off the ground for the salt to be able to spill out. Some careers that would use some of these digital tools are architects, inventors, designers and engineers, because they need to find ways to visualize things and bring them to life digitally all the time!

I made braided friendship bracelets. It’s related to chemistry because I bonded my yarn fibers to one another. They’re good for the environment because the yarn used in the bracelets will offset the amount of yarn sitting in landfills, taking decades to decompose. I used the principles Unity and Contrast to make my bracelets. I united the fibers and the colors contrast each other, being both dark and light. I make them by braiding them together. I could improve them by finding techniques that use more yarn so less goes to waste or just sits around. I learned not only how to repurpose materials that would otherwise go in the trash, but also how to think of others and find out what they like so I can make them presents they’d enjoy.
