I have had a successful Varsity Soccer career. We have made a run to the state finals and gone on multiple playoff runs. I have been named to the All-Region team and been team offensive player of the year twice.
I have learned a lot of lessons from the sport that have helped me off the field. Soccer has taught me to give it my all when doing things that I am passionate about, to appreciate the little things, and to keep trying even if I don’t feel the best on any given day or things aren’t going my way. Soccer also has taught me to have resilience, and to never give up. I have also learned that you need to work hard to get better.
In 10th grade I had a very successful high school soccer season. I was one of the leading scorers on the team and we made it all the way to the state finals, winning the semi-finals in front of hundreds of our classmates along the way. We ended up losing in the finals, but I am grateful for the run and hope that I can win state in my senior year. Through that experience I have learned that sometimes the ball doesn’t bounce your way, so you need to make every moment count. I have also learned that I need to work hard in order to get better.
