I ran cross country in both 9th and 12th grade. In cross country, resilience, perseverance, and a positive mindset are extremely important. In cross country it is very easy to give up or slow down, so you need to have the motivation, confidence, and mental toughness to keep running. I have been pretty successful in cross country, recording the top time on my high school team. It is a great way to improve both your fitness and mindset.
