This is a poster for the beggining of our next project
This is a stategy for our ontroller.
These are the rules for crafting the controller
I like the DualShock 4 controller because it has a grip and it would be really easy to control. On top of that this controller has analog sticks and a D-pad for more control.
This was my first draft design. It was heavily based on the dualshock 4 controller but this was before I knew the limitations to my controller.
My more realistic draft.
This is my prototpe. My code wasn't working here and my hot glue gun broke. I plan on adding grips to the side though.
1st view of my model I decided that it would too big if I were to add grips to the side of my controller.
2nd view of my model
Here is my controller working
Self assessment
Does your design use unity or pattern? How is this shown in your design?
My design uses unity but its really simple and subtle details.
What is your plan for incorporating color/texture into your design?
I want it to be one color either black or white.
What did you do to make your design more comfortable to use? Did it work? If not , how can you modify your design for comfort?
I decided not to put grips on the side because it would make it too big and unable to press the buttons.
What is your unique feature of your controller?
My controller is really easy to use and its really simple.
Would you consider your design unique? If not, how would you add/subtract from your design to make it more unique?
I would add more detail to my design to make it unique.
Final Model Assessment
Overall this project was by far the hardest project of them all. I had a lot of struggles with my wires and my code wouldn't work. I had to ask for a lot of help and I just feel like overall the experience wasn't worth the result. It was satisfying to see it actually work though.
