My group and I made a Newton's Rockets. We used an empty water bottle, vinegar, baking soda, straws, a cork, tape, and tissue paper. We used the principles of design (movement). When we put the baking soda with the vinegar it was fizzing up, but unfortunately our rocket just fell over instead of exploding.
Newton's Cradle: Zeuri and I made a Newton's cradle. We used popsicle sticks, marbles, and a hot glue gun. We made our cradle and we had to explain how our cradle uses potential and kinetic energy and which Newton's law applies to the cradle. Movement is a part of principles of design. During the experiment we used movement because we had to put a lot of things together for the cradle to work and move properly.
