An environmental hackathon is a collaborative event where people from various backgrounds brainstorm, create, and develop solutions to environmental problems. The focus of these events is often on finding innovative ways to reduce waste, conserve resources, or generate clean energy (hackathon.com). Our students chose one activity to demonstrate activism through the Drew Design Process. The choices were repurposing recyclables to make instruments, repurposing clothing to make bags, poetry and the art of basket weaving, or gaming and coding. Students also made infographics to spread awareness and give information on ways to make our Earth a safer place. Click your scholars' teacher's name below to see their final product.
