Chef Asata Reid
Asata Reid MPH, MS Ed., is a professional chef and community health educator, and the founder of Life Chef LLC - a culinary education service focused on healthy cooking and nutrition for all of life’s stages. She recently self-published the book How to Feed a Kid: A Parent's Guide, and has taught Cooking and Nutrition in Drew's after-school program for several years. Chef Asata is also a long-time supporter of Healthy You Healthy Drew, offering wellness for the Drew community. Her superpower is getting people to love eating their vegetables. Brian Kavanagh "The Sophisticated Caveman"
Brian Kavanagh is a passionate foodie and the creator of "The Sophisticated Caveman," a blog with healthy Paleo, Keto, and gluten-free recipes. Brian taught our first graders how to make yummy sweet potato fries! You can make the sweet potato fries at home by watching the video below or reading the recipe on Brian's blog!
Dr. Teresa Jordan was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Spelman College. She earned both her Doctor of Dental Medicine and Master of Public Health degrees from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Dr. Jordan also completed a residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry from Columbia University and New York Presbyterian Hospital.
After practicing as a general dentist in the metro Atlanta area for three years, Dr. Jordan returned to Howard University College of Dentistry and completed additional training in pediatric dentistry. Dr. Jordan is board certified and a diplomat of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Jordan loves spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys watching HGTV and spending time in the sunshine.
