For the entry event, students viewed the original Lorax movie by Dr. Seuss, in which they were exposed to a variety of environmental issues. After watching the movie, students reflected on the issues that were presented in the film.
The Melting Ice Caps
The Melting Ice Caps
Students had the chance to have a hands on experience creating a representation of the melting ice caps! Students were given a large ice cube and a polar animal. Salt represented contributing factors of climate change. We watched as the ice melted, sped up by the salt (contributing factors.) We discussed the effect this had on the animals who call the polar area their home.
