Mrs. Mandy Mahoney, President of Southeast Energy Efficiency Alliance, spoke with students about climate change. Students learned about different sources of greenhouse gas emissions and clean energy alternatives. Mrs. Mahoney shared tips on how to decrease your carbon footprint at home. She also shared her experiences as an environmental justice advocate.

Mrs. Trina Matta serves as the Director of Circular Ventures for The Recycling Partnership. She joined first grade on Zoom to share her expertise on all things recycling. She shared lots of important information about what recycling is, what items are able to be recycled, and what happens to the items that we recycle.
