Letters to Senator Warnock & Ossoff
Students learned about young environmental activists, such as Greta Thunberg and Mari Copeny. Students learned about the different ways that activists bring public awareness to issues.
Students wrote letters to Senator Warnock and Senator Ossoff expressing concern for our environment and asking for help with making changes in government.

Saving the Atlanta Forest: Activism at Work in Our Community
ATLANTA IS A CITY IN A FOREST
We have the highest percentage of tree canopy of any major metropolitan area in the US. Our canopy is our main defense against climate change. If Atlanta Police and Fire bring deforestation to our local community we cannot replace the old growth forest that will be lost. Students wrote letters to various corporations that are supporting this initiative to express their concerns for our environment.
