Project Overview

For this project, we had to use all of our previous art knowledge to create an artwork similar to Guernica based on a world conflict. The conflict I chose for my assignments, the artwork, the essay, and the poster. For the PSA video, we had to choose a guernica topic that one of our groupmates (Ayman El-Amin, Kaori Brown) made their artwork based on and we chose that topic for our PSA video.

Income Inequality PSA.

High drug prices can prevent people from getting the medications they need. This can lead to worse health outcomes, more hospital For this project, I found a topic that caused crisis, and I made a piece of propaganda against the topic we chose. In my poster I show a person mad about the drugs costs, it seems he is paying lots of money just for medications which could lead to worsened health conditions or death if the medicine isn't purchased. The high cost of Prescription Drug costs is a burden for individuals without insurance or on unstable income.

For our PSA video me, Grant Packwood, Fiero Simpson, Andrew Sugarman and Ethan Edwards decided to do Income inequality as our topic for our PSA. My groupmate, Fiero's topic was Income Inequality for his Guernica, so we decided to use that topic for our video

ChemVAS Guerinca Painting

For this art project, we had to use all of our previous art knowledge to make a project similar to the Guernica by Pablo Picasso. The conflict we chose was Oligarchy because it needs to be recognized worldwide and I believe Democracy should replace Oligarchy. The Guernica is used as propaganda because it shows the outcome of the war on this side and influences others by seeing the victim's perspective of this tragedy. Propaganda is used to influence people in a certain way that makes them pick a side to hate or love something or someone, which can change who the person stands with. The conflict is that some people think that a small group of officials should be in control of a whole country. I believe that the people should be able to vote to pick a leader.
