I've been cheering since I was in second grade, starting with a competitive team, and my passion for cheerleading has only grown since then. During my senior year, I made the decision to join both the competition team and the varsity sideline team, and it was one of the best choices I've made. Being a part of these teams has helped me grow in countless ways, both as an athlete and as a person. I've not only developed strength, skill, and discipline but also learned the value of teamwork, perseverance, and leadership. Along the way, I've built lasting friendships with incredible teammates who have supported and inspired me. This experience has truly shaped who I am today and has provided me with memories and lessons I'll carry with me forever.
Working at the YMCA has been an incredibly rewarding experience, helping me develop valuable leadership skills and patience while working with children. I've built strong connections with the campers, which has been one of the most fulfilling aspects of my role. As the leader of the cheer camp, I had the opportunity to teach campers various skills, including tight motions and dance routines, which was a fantastic experience. Additionally, during swim camp, I taught campers essential water safety practices and helped them improve their swimming skills. Overall, my time at the YMCA has provided me with great personal and professional growth, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such a positive and supportive environment.
