About Me....

Sometimes, it is really is hard to balance between life at Drew and life outside of Drew. But I try really hard to make sure school isn't taking over my life. By taking AP(AP lang, AP US, and AP World History) and honors courses, leaves me with a lot of work at home. But I strive to be efficient and turn in my best possible work. Outside of the comfortable confines of Drew, I can be seen playing my viola. I was part of the Charles R. Drew Orchestra for a year but I had to unfortunately drop the class to pursue CHEMVAS. I have been playing the viola since the 7th grade and I have even won a Superior medal in Solo and Ensemble. Another hobby of mine is photography and film. I do a lot of editing on I movie (Later Final Cut Pro) and I usually edit small home videos/photos just for fun. I also have had a strong interest in reading and writing since I was in the first grade. Reading allows me to open doors to other worlds and provides me with a comfortable downtime. There is nothing like curling up in my warm bed with a mystery murder book in hand! Another one of my hobbies is camping. My family and I tried dry camping at Stone Mountain then we brought a camper. Being involved with nature has taught me to value the Earth and the importance of its resources.

Goals...

I really hope to BECOME SOMETHING. I really want to make a name for myself and to leave a legacy. I also want to become one of the BEST in my career.

I am caught between the two worlds of Film and Forensics. I have a strong passion for the film industry especially since it is literally right in front of me. My favorite TV shows and movies like The Walking Dead, Stranger Things, and the Avengers Franchise film right here in Atlanta. When I watch a TV show/movie, I have to know how they make it. From the crew to how the costumes are made to the production of the props and sets. One of my dreams is to actually be able to work on a set and be able to create something that can bring so many people together. Film led me to Forensics and my love for science. I started watching investigative true crime shows like Criminal Minds and Forensic Files which made me want to do my own research. I started to study crime scene photos, blood spatters, strangulation marks, and modus operandi on the internet. I concluded that Forensic Science was too broad so I narrowed down my major to Forensic Pathology. Being able to pursue Forensic Pathology will allow me to accomplish my dream of becoming a Medical Examiner. You don't always hear a high school student wanting to work with corpses but I have always had a fascination with dissecting things in school lab experiments (frogs, owl pellets) since I was a kid. In college, I plan to double major in Film and Forensic Pathology.
