Steam and Abstraction

Abstraction means to communicate ideas, emotions, and thoughts thoughts developed in Modernist art as a break from representational forms. In order to express a feeling of the heart or of reality of their subjects, artists started experimenting with lowering forms, twisting shapes, and including color and texture. The change from the traditional way of creating art was aimed at inspiring feelings and ideas in people through the use of just pictures as instead of narrative or figurative image.
