Who are you outside of Drew?
Outside of Drew, I’m pretty much the same person, just in a more relaxed setting. I enjoy spending my weekends hanging out with my sisters, whether we’re talking, laughing, or just enjoying each other’s company. I also like going to church with them because it keeps me grounded and connected. I spend time with my friends too, and I really value those moments because they help me relax and have fun. I work as a wellness associate at Beem Light Sauna, which has helped me grow more responsible, confident, and professional. My job has taught me how to communicate better, stay organized, and work with different people. When I’m not busy, I like staying at home and watching my favorite shows to recharge. Overall, I try to balance my social life, work life, and personal time while continuing to grow as a person.
Another extracurricular activity I participated in was a culinary master class during the first semester of last year. This was a nine-week program that took place from September to November. During this experience, I learned basic cooking techniques, kitchen safety, and how to prepare different types of meals. It helped me become more independent and responsible, especially when following directions and managing my time. Overall, this program allowed me to develop practical life skills and gain a better understanding of cooking in a structured environment.
