About Me
I am a determined and creative scholar passionate about the intersection of arts, engineering, science, and technology. I thrive in environments that challenge my critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Guided by curiosity and a commitment to excellence, I seek opportunities to expand my knowledge. I enjoy collaborating with others who share my passion for innovation. These experiences help me grow as a learner and leader. I aim to use my knowledge to make a meaningful impact.
I'm Curious About
I am always excited about anything that has to do with sustainability. Researching ways the world could be a better place has become one of my most enjoyable hobbies. Whether that research correlates to one of my classes or just something I decided to do on my own time, it is never a dull experience.
Through some of this research, I have unlocked a learning passion for discovering various and interesting contributions that I could make towards supporting global sustainability. These experiences have truly shaped and sparked my interest in Research and Engineering. The connection between Engineering and Research is the perfect way to sum up my learning passions of sustainability. Having experience in both of these fields has wholeheartedly shifted my mindset and opened up deeper and more complex ways that I can contribute to global sustainability.
This new mindset has set off my interest in pursuing Architectural Engineering in the future. Because of my love for designing things and being able to carry out projects on my own, Architectural Engineering is my ideal future career since it combines creative design with sustainability.
Goals
Growing up, I always answered the question, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” with, “I want to make the world a better place.” Back then, I told myself that this was my safety response whenever bombarded with that question I was, deep down, afraid to answer.
Throughout my early childhood and teenage years, I realized that as vague as my answer was back then, it still highlighted my vision for the future that I have now.
To make an impact in my community.
Whether it was through removing invasive ivy plants from trees in my neighborhood with the West Atlanta Water Shed Alliance or picking up trash around my school with East Lake Beautification, I learned the value of serving my community. Working alongside others with the same goal gave me a strong sense of pride and confidence in the impact we were making together.
If it wasn’t for the bravery that I discovered within myself through these community service experiences, I do not believe that I would be capable of intentionally making an impact in any space that I walk into today.
Today, I choose to answer that same question with, “I want to make my community a better place".
