Epic elements :
What went well with my project was the ending look , it was actually a good looking slideshow after . What was difficult was my group , but we made it work .We could improve the quality of the slideshow and a little bit more detail than we have now .I learned how to make a stop motion video , I'm not sure when I will use this again but it was fun to learn . This project was a 6/10 successful , mainly because the teachers didn't really know what they were doing. Only one teacher kinda knew how to guide us . What I would do differently is the planning , only because on top of the other work we had to do we had to do this project which was kind of stressful . And if it was an issue with our group we just had to deal with it , which is what i didn't like .
For this assignment we were split into two groups: the eastern hemisphere and western hemisphere . We had to figure out what dish we could cook with the crops and spices that originated in that hemisphere without including anything else . We then were split into two again within the two hemispheres and had to then cook those dishes but the fun of it was that we didn't know who was in our group beforehand so we had to work with what we had .
In the first image we have one of our group members cutting up a red onion to go into our shrimp fried rice. The next image is of another member placing the shrimp onto the griddle to get it ready for the rice . The next image is of all of the groceries that were used in our dish . The next image is the final product after everything was done cooking . The last photo is of one of our members scrambling the eggs to go into the rice . All in all the experience was extremely fun and I would one hundred percent do it again .
The columbian exchange is when the new world and old world were trading different things between each other . But they were only trading crops and meats , they were also trading people and diseases .
This project helped me understand the columbian exchange because it showed me what the different hemispheres had to cook with before the trading . their traditional way/taste of food.
