In this assignment we had to create a typography using sketch.io. We had to use transparent pictures of chemistry tools to make the word ChemVAS. We also used tools in sketch.io to make it. I like the creativity that went into this assignment.

My element was lithium. Lithium is very flammable and explosive. Its found in most of the batteries we use today. The hardest part of this was drawing the flame in the bottom right.

This is my element tile that we had to make using clay. We learned different ways to mark and use the clay. The hardest thing for me was the sculpting because I was having a hard time trying to make the letters. On thing I thought was cool was the kiln. It turned the clay into ceramics by  cooking it at very high degrees. I also like that we could use our creativity to make the tiles. 

For our PBL project we had to make symbols. To make the symbols we had to make our own paper. We had to blend up newspapers with water until it was past like. Then we Poured the blended paper into water and scooped it out. This was the hardest part because it was hard to scoop it out and dry it without it falling apart. Then you have to dry it. Once its dry you can start to make your symbol. My favorite part was blending the paper and water together because it was satisfying.

So for our final project we had to display everything wrong with the world and everything that us wrong with it. We had to make a painting mimicking Guernica by Picasso. For this we had to split up into different groups and each group had different parts of the painting. First we had to practice using cubism. Then we had to make sketches about what we were gonna paint. Then we cut out our pieces and traced out our painting with pencil. Then we started to paint. When all done we brought them all together for display. My favorite part if this project was the painting part because it was very satisfying. My least favorite part was practicing the cubism because it was very time consuming.
