this is from our haiku harp project. the first one is called the sparrows are playing hide and seek among the tea flowers. this one we had to learn around 15 different things to play and then we would make an order where we can play around one to three of the different parts. we would randomly play which one we wanted to that we agreed work together and it created a cool effect. The challenges of putting this together is was the timing and tempo because we were all playing randomly and it wasn't notes for the most part and if it was you were playing them randomly for this one we were really using our creativity to use all aspects of the harp. For our next piece we played sacred music of the night, into the bonfires flutter the tinted leaves. For this one we had a wooden or metal rod and rapidly played it against two notes. This was challenging because the harp uses a lot of different parts of your brain and for this one it was a lot of crossing and just a repetition between a two notes on the right hand. This was hard because after a while it would slow down and you would break so you just had to make it a habit and muscle memory. We used a lot of cool effects in this one such as putting paper in between wire strings to hear the paper vibrate and rubbing wood against the strings rapidly for a cool effect. I really liked this project because it wasn't hard to play the notes and all of that were easy it was more of the rhythms and this will help with us because we are an ensemble and this will help with our team work and help us understand each others playstyles and how we will work together as a team. I also liked this project because it really pushed our creativity on our own and as a class and we put all of our brains together to come up with the songs and how we play them and that every classes pieces sounded different because we came up with the order of the songs and it wasn't the same so it really pushed our creativity and that's why I liked it so much.
