wear safety glasses/goggles vaccuum after use, wear ear protection, design around your screws, run the dust collector, dont leave it while its running, secyyre your meterals with clamps

cad computer aided design

DESCRIPTION: zero the machine. make sure you have the material clamped down before you run Use CAD to create the design file you next use CAM to tell the router what you want to do and put in the description of the item you are about to cut like the type of bit and the measurements than use CNC to execute the process. CAD we use vcarve pro CAM we use shock bot

Planer saw

Wear ear and eye protection unplug vacuum when finished and plug it in when you are using it. Adjust the thickness to within 1/16 of the material prior to cutting

What I Did

I dont have a picture so I found one online but you cut the wood to a certain accurate length for fitting in a box

biscuit jointer

wear goggles line it up and pull trigger and push than your done and it is used for connecting pieces of wood

this is what I did today but I dont have a picture but I used a picture online

glueing and clamping

you need to clamp the pieces together after the biscuit jointer for extra strength

what I made

I glued the lid and the base of the box and than after I did all of it

orbital sander

dont put it on the table wear glasses and have room between the sander

it flattens out the wood and smoothens the wood

Box is sanded and stained

we had to stain it with wood stain and after that we had to sand it again

that is the same picture for sanded because i dont have one before the sand

we had to screw drills in latches to make the lid of the box flip up

Mothers Day Gift

Need a mothers day gift because it is coming up and more gifts is better.

Our goal is to create an inexpensive yet meaningful gift to our mother or a motherly figure in our lives and we want to finish before mothers day which is may 8 Sunday 2022.

And for testing I brought my box home after walking home and put it in my backpack and also rested my backpack on it so that I could see how strong and sturdy it was unfortunately I didn't take any pictures
