Food For Thought
The goal of this project was to create items that were traded in the columbian exchange. All of our classes incorporated food for thought some we had to make food and others we had to make pottery. For this class we created a bowl, plate, spoon, grapes, orange, potato and sugarcane. If i had more time i would have created cattle, but everything worked out awesome.

In this lab we learned about physical and chemical changes. The main idea of this lab was to cook a marshmallow to the brown preferd. We did this using a heater and some tin foil wrapped around the marshmallow. The tin foil used to conduct heat. This took a while because the heat took a minute to transmit through the foil

For this project I created a text log about the periodic table and its properties. Then took notes on the founders of the periodic table and continued to dive into the depth of the periodic table.

This lab was about testing the distance a paper airplane could fly with different weights. The weights used were paper clips and were perfect size and were able to be attatched easily. We conducted 5 tests starting with no paper clip and as the test went on we added more weight. The results of the test was that having 4 paper clips made te plane fly the longest.

For this assignment I created a Bohr model of Fermium. Each piece of straw is an electron, and the string represents the ring. In the center is where all the protons and neutrons are held, which is represented by the circle in the middle. In total the projet captures the are of an element.

For this project I created an infographic about my element fermium. My thought process was to create an explosion because fermium is mostly found at nuclear test sites. It includes the element and were its commonly found all in one.

How might cultural and historical contexts have shaped scientific discoveries in making the periodic table?
I think cultural and historical context have shaped the discoveries of periodic elements through not having anything to do and an abundance of time. During these discoveries it was mostly old white men who were credited for the findings. They spent their time trying to get certain chemical compounds broken down to a singular molecular structure. Antoine Lavoisier is considered the father of modern chemistry. This is how cultural and historical context shaped the discoveries of periodic elements.

Makers Gear: Build your own apron
I started off With a gold silk fabric that was pretty durable. Accessorised with purple straps.
I had a kids Apron.
The process was stressful because I kept getting postponed and had to finish it last minute due to certain people. But da sewing machine definetly sped up the process.

Mandalas are art pieces used for meditation, decoration, or to show gratitude. Mandalas have been used as a meditative tool in the belief systems of Jainism, Buddhism, and Shintoism. Linear perspective is shown very well. To show an atom create a circular design with a central point representing the nucleus, and then use smaller circles or geometric shapes arranged around it to represent the orbiting electrons.

Art to me is music. Art is also the expression of feeling through a visual. Art can be shown in many ways in many subjects. In science art could be a cell model or molecule model. In math art could be tally charts or diagrams.
