Over the summer I had the oppurtunity to do the Talent Development program. It's 3 week long day summer camp at georgia tech, focusing on math, robotics, and coding. We had 2 main projects, 3D printing a mini golf hole and coding a robot to find it's way through a special course. The first section was pre made coding, navigaiting the robot through a series of squares and getting points for each of the robots wheels in each square. The second was manual test, requiring you to use the controller and use the robot's claw-arm to sort different colored blocks without bumping into the sides of the containers. The last section required you to attach an AI powered camera to the robot and park in the correct spot. It was an extremely difficult challenge, but I'm glad to say my team came away with first place with 109 points, the max being 125. The program doesn't end after this summer, so there's a lot more to expect and to look forward to!
