FOUNDATIONS OF ENGINNEERINGÂ
Our whole project!
The brief we had to follow for building this box.
What was the intended function of your box and how does the design contribute to the function.Â
I designed the box mainly to be able to hold pencils. The box is meant to be long and deep to accommodate multiple pencils, and the top fits on tightly so they can’t fall out.
Describe one thing you are most proud of about the box itself.Â
I really like the wood burned silhouette I did, which ended up looking really good with the staining I did.
Describe one thing about your physical box you would improve on if you could do it again.Â
I would definitely have made the corners more rounded, actually making the sides of the box semi circles.
What is one challenge you faced while doing this project that you were able to overcome and how did you overcome it?
The steps were unclear, leading to me having to cut parts of my original design out of the final design.
What is one skill that you learned so well in this project that you would feel comfortable teaching it to another student? Â
I learned how to wood burn really good
Even though everyone ended with their own project, how did teamwork/collaboration play a role in this project? Offer specific shout outs to acknowledge those who helped you. Â
I didnt really have help with this project, but it was nice having people to talk to while working.

Create a robot diorama based on the play Romeo and Juliet.
Students will analyze a selection from Romeo and Juliet and decide how to use art and symbolism to express their understanding of the play.
Students will work in a group to design, build, and program a robotic diorama that represents their assigned selection.Subject covers art, engineering, ela, and technology.
Brief
Criteria
These are the brief, criteria, and constraints for our infinity mirror project. The brief describes what we will do and what materials we will use. The criteria and constraints describe what expectations our infinity mirror needs to meet and what limitations we have.
Constraints
This is the protoype for out infinity mirror. It is smaller than the actual infinity mirror we're going to be making, and less detailed. The parts are all 3d printed and we made the reflective panels out of laser cut acrylic and one way film.
This is a video showing how the illusion of the infinity mirror works. We put led light strips between the two reflective panels, causing the light to reflect endlessly. We also had to write our own unique code for the prototype to show different light patterns.
