"Tráfico de animales silvestres es malo para el medio ambiente y nuestras comunidades,  pero nosotros podemos ayudar. Podemos juntar fondos para caridades de vida silvestre,  aprender y enseñar acerca de tráfico, y pedir a los gobiernos y redes que hagan nuevas leyes para salvar a los animales. Vida silvestre es muy importante para nosotros, y necesitamos porque salvarlo porque están muy importante."

My friend Allyson and I chose to focus on wildlife trafficking for our project. Our article detailed how many networks capture, kill and sell animals and products made from them from profit, and that there are also many communities that use them for food or medicine. Billions of dollars are made from trafficking. Trafficking is extremely detrimental to the ecosystem, as it lowers populations of important plants and animals and can spread disease to humans. We can help stop it by educating ourselves, volunteering with or donating to charities that support wildlife, and encouraging governments to pass laws that better protect the natural worl

As an assessment on the play, we wrote several paragraphs answering one of a few topics we could choose from. I wrote about the play's usage of humor.

For our summer assignment, as an introduction to the class and its topics, we created a map of our local surroundings. I made a map of my neighborhood, Joyland.

We chose a piece of artwork created for activism and dove into its creation, meaning and the artist behind it. I chose the AIDS Memorial Quilt due to its unique nature and wide spread.

We had to make dichotomous keys and I made one based on the Holotypic Occlupanid Research Group because it seemed fun and relevant and I like collecting bread clips.

Our dichotomous key had to be based on something like plants, animals, inanimate objects, etc., anything that has things to be differed from one another, and it had to have at least 10 individual "species." Dichotomous keys are used to identify species of organisms with yes-or-no or this-or-that style questions based on their traits.
