North Charnwood SSPAN Primary Varsity League

Welcome to the North Charnwood SSPAN Primary Varsity League. Whilst recognising success, the main aim of the League is to reward schools for their participation and engagement with the SSPAN offer.

How does it work?

Schools are awarded points for the following:

• Attending NCSSPAN competitions (1 point)

• Winning medals at competitions (1 point for Bronze, 2 points Silver and 3 points Gold)

• Most importantly, winning the Spirit of the Games award, for demonstrating the School Games Values. (extra 4 points)

• Streak! - If you attend consecutive events, your initial participation points will increase by one. For example, if you have attended 2 events in a row, you will receive 2 participation points for that event. Likewise, if you have attended 5 events in a row, you will receive 5 participation points for that event. Going on a streak is a great way to build up your Varsity League points.

• Multiple Teams - Another great way to accumulate Varsity League points is to bring multiple teams to our events. Bringing more than one team multiplies your participation points by the amount of teams you bring. For example, if you are attending your 4th event in a row and you bring 2 teams, this will multiply your participation points by 2, hence you receive 8 points instead of 4.
