DIS 25th Anniversary Debate Tournament

Dresden International School is planning to host its first debating tournament on the occasion of its 25th Anniversary. The tournament will be held at DIS School Campus in the historic Baroque city of Dresden, using the World Schools Debate style. Due to the corona situation we had to postpone the two day tournament to May 7-8, 2022. Thank you very much for your understanding!

Assol Britvina:

"The Debating Society here in DIS is more than a simple co-curricular, it is a community of individuals who encourage growth and empower your self-worth. The Debating Society, to me, has become my family in which I feel comfortable to show my weaknesses and voice my opinions. I am forever thankful for the lessons I learned here. Not only public-speaking skills, but also what its like to lose, face disagreements and of course gain the long-awaited victories. To me, debating is one of the most crucial stepping stones for inner growth."

Anne Struffmann:

"Having joined the DIS Debating Society four years ago, the concepts applied and the motions discussed equipped me with the confidence, determination, and acuity that I have benefited from every year since. Not only did articulating my ideas become second nature to me, but I was also thrilled to participate in competitions in Stockholm and Prague that my team and I will always cherish as gratifying memories.
