This report contains important updates and information for the Wisconsin DECA State Career Development Conference. Please read this resource thoroughly to get last minute details on transportation, meals, room assignments, technology requirements, and conference logistics.
Monday Morning Logistics
Arrive at DHS no later than 7:00 AM on Monday. Bring all bags etc. directly to the main office for administrator bag searches.
Afterward, all luggage coolers, etc. should be loaded into the school van.
DECA-approved clothing is not required for travel.

Please plan for one or two individuals from each room to bring a cooler and/or plastic tote with snacks and drinks for the conference. Due to space limitations in the vehicles, we should have no more than two coolers/totes per room. All members of the room can contribute food/drink items. There are no microwaves or refrigerators in the hotel rooms.
The Grand Geneva will have the following items available for purchase in the main lobby Monday from 10:30am-6pm and Tuesday from 10:30am-1:30pm

Hot Dog - $4.00
Bags of Chips - $2.00
Candy Bars - $3.00
Cookies - $2.00
Soft Drinks/Bottled Water -$2.00

The Grand Central Cafe, located in the main lobby, also serves gelato, coffee, freshly baked-in-house pastries, salads, sandwiches and smoothies. Prices range from about $3 - $6 plus tax.
DHS DECA will order food on Monday night. Dinner will be provided by Wisconsin DECA on Tuesday night. We will stop at a fast food restaurant for lunch on Wednesday. All other meals must be brought to SCDC or purchased at the Grand Geneva.
Curfew is 11:30 PM on Monday and 12:00 PM on Tuesday night. All students should be in their assigned rooms with lights out and technology turned off at this time.

All students participating in the Monday Digital Badge Certification workshop (Bradley, Dees, Harman, Ladd, Sandeep Sankar, Vinger, White. Possibly Konop and Handel) must bring a smartphone or Chromebook to the session.

Monday Workshops
Anyone not competing with a written project or as a Service Associate will attend three workshops on Monday. They are:
11:00: Digital Badge Certification (see technology note above)
12:00: Success Through Your Eyes
1:00: Leaders for Life
Service Associates may have the opportunity to attend workshops if not otherwise assigned to hosting duties during these times.
Tuesday Workshop
All SCDC competitors (not including Service Associates) will attend the Leadership Workshop with Kevin Wanzer at 2:30 PM on Tuesday.
Trolley Travel
Peterson, Sneha Sankar, and Harman will need to take the trolley to Timber Ridge (Harman) and Chalet (Peterson/Sankar) for events on Monday and Tuesday. Trolleys depart from the Grand Geneva main entrance. Light snacks and beverages will be available for purchase at both locations on Tuesday.
