A seminar titled "Navigating the Path Abroad" was recently held at Daulat Ram College, where Faguni Awasthi, an alumnus currently pursuing MSc in Business Analytics in UCD Michael Smurfit Business School, Dublin, shared her personal journey and insights about the challenges and rewards of studying overseas. It was very helpful for the current students to connect with the alumni and provide valuable advice regarding academic and career development in international settings.

The alumnus explained the whole admission process starting from filling up the college application forms, selecting the right university and course based on your interests, applying for scholarships, and preparing materials like statements of purpose and recommendation letters and even choosing the right counsellors. She gave a valuable piece of advice for the freshers to take up internships and 2nd and final year students to research and be clear with their future plans.

Students were introduced to the specifics of standardized tests namely GRE, and GMAT, followed by her personal journey where she shared her experience. She mentioned her experience with her counselor. Senior's and teacher's advice also played an important role. She motivated the students to be confident and never doubt themselves. The session also included a panel discussion where students had the opportunity to ask questions and engage with the speakers, gaining real world perspectives.

As the seminar wrapped up , a special segment took place where the guest alumni took the stage and shared her cherished memories creating a warm and engaging  environment.                             

The seminar proved to be a great success blending educational insights with heartfelt stories and light hearted fun. Participants left with not only new knowledge but also a renewed sense of connection to the institution and its community. The event highlighted the enduring importance of mentorship, networking, and shared experiences.
