Big 8 Scholarships
The Big 8 Application Process: The Big 8 are full-ride scholarships to UNC Chapel Hill, NC State, UNC Charlotte, Davidson, Duke, ECU, NC A&T, and NCCU. This year I'm including schools that do not require school nominations but still have an application process you should be aware of. The five schools that have school nominations are: UNC - Chapel Hill, UNC Charlotte, Davidson, NC A&T, and NCCU. The three schools that don't have school nominations are Duke, NC State, and ECU. More information about each application can be found in the presentation below.

Please note ONLY FILL this form if you are interested in receiving a school nomination for the following scholarships: Morehead-Cain @UNC - Chapel Hill, Levine @UNC-Charlotte, Cheatham-White(NCCU and/or NC A&T), & Belk and Bryan @Davidson

Here are the links to all of the Big 8 Application pages. Some of these scholarships I would recommend starting now since some have early deadlines:
Morehead-Cain @UNC-Chapel Hill: I recommend you start this application NOW and once we determine who the school nominees they can select that option. If you aren't a school nominee you select that you are self-nominating. Deadline: October 1st, 2023
Levine @UNC-Charlotte: Both school and self-nominees need to submit nominations before October 8th and apply for admission before November 1st. The deadline for the Levine Scholarship is November 16th, 2023
Cheatham-White @NCCU: You must submit an application for undergraduate admissions. If you are self-nomination you will need to go to Eagle Promise Portal to start the scholarship application. If you are a school nominee you must wait until NCCU notifies you that you are a school nominee. Deadline: December 15th, 2023
Cheatham-White @NC A&T: You will need to complete your application on their Honors Program Application Portal. If you are the school nominee you will need to put a counselor(more info if selected) down if you are self-nominating select that option. Deadline: November 15th, 2023
Belk @Davidson: You cannot self-nominate, if you become a school nominee be on the lookout for an email from Davidson. Deadline: December 15, 2023
Bryan @Davidson: You cannot self-nominate, if you become a school nominee be on the lookout for an email from Davidson. Deadline: October 14, 2023
Park Scholarship @NCSU: Apply to NC State Early Action and complete Park application before the deadline. Deadline: November 1st
ECScholars @ECU: You need to also apply to their Honors College. Deadline: Mid October
Robertson @Duke & UNC-Chapel Hill: You have to apply to Duke and/or UNC-Chapel. Deadline November 15th, 2023

CSS Profile
What?
CSS Profile is an online application that collects information used by nearly 400 colleges and scholarship programs to award non-federal aid
When?
As early as Oct. 1, and by the earliest filing deadline
Who?
If you are applying to these in-state schools: Davidson, Duke, Elon, UNC Chapel Hill, Wakeforest
& over 400 other institutions linked here
How?
go to cssprofile.org
sign-in with College Board credentials (PSAT, SAT, AP)
Gather necessary documents:
tax returns
W-2 forms & other records of current income
records of untaxed income and benefits
current bank statements, records of savings, stocks, bonds, trusts etc.
Cost? yes, unfortunately.
$25 for initial application, & $16 for each additional school (if you qualified for an SAT waiver, you may qualify for a CSS profile)
