Please review the slides below for information about DPS high school options and the magnet application process. We strongly encourage you to have open conversations with your student about their strengths and goals and work together to select a high school that is best for them.
High School Course Registration

All students will register for courses at their base school. This process will vary by school - please see the information below for updates regarding your child's base school.
Many of you may apply for magnet or pathway programs for your child. Results of these lottery applications will be available in March, and we will begin making adjustments to course requests after that time.

Every high school hosts tours where families can learn more about the campus and program offerings. Check each school's websites to find available dates and to sign up for a tour.
Core Course Recommendations
Core Course Recommendations
Your student’s current teachers will make recommendations for their core classes and students will receive a copy of those recommendations in January. Please talk with them about this information and contact teachers if you have any questions about the recommendations.
