The FFA is a national student-led organization specifically for students enrolled in agriculture courses. The FFA is a youth organization that changes lives and prepares members for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
FFA develops members’ potential and helps them discover their talent through hands-on experiences, which give members the tools to achieve real-world success.
The official name of the organization is the National FFA Organization. The letters “FFA” stand for Future Farmers of America.

The FFA helps students develop their leadership skills, explore future career opportunities, learn about agriculture and its importance through in and out of class experiences, and the opportunity to get involved in the greater FFA organization.
Students who are members of the FFA have opportunities to...
Earn scholarships exclusively for FFA members;
Go on field trips (State Fair, UMO AgFest, NC A&T Ag Literacy...);
Compete in regional and state competitions;
Raise a livestock animal (Turkey Project & Goat Project);
Summer farm tours & college camps;
Build leadership skills (officer or junior officer positions, workshops).
Jordan FFA is one of the largest clubs at Jordan High School with over 130 members!
To be an FFA member you MUST:
Be enrolled in an agriculture course (one class each school year)
Pay membership fee ($25)
