4th Unit 1 The Art of Getting Along

The goal of this unit, The Art of Getting Along, is to ensure that students gain the language necessary to effectively manage a variety of interactions. Students learn how to greet others, describe their responsibilities at home, communicate their needs, and negotiate solutions to a conflict. These skills allow them to be proactive in developing friendships and resolving disputes.

This unit helps equip students with the language needed to actively and productively participate in a positive school community.

This week we learned about formal and informal language. Can you guess what our fourth graders are using?

In class, we are learning to politely invite and decline an invitation.

This week we have learned how to explain a situation when someone is upset with us. We learned how to tell them what happened and apologize for our actions. The first video is the 4th graders working on their scripts and then we have their videos! Enjoy!
