Hello! My name is Ms.Karen and I've been teaching 5th grade Math at Trevista for six years. Teaching is one of my greatest joys, and I am so excited to begin another amazing school year!
When I'm not in the classroom, I love traveling, going to concerts, trying new coffee shops, hiking, and spending time with my friends. I come from a proud Mexican family, so I also speak Spanish, and I love being able to connect with students and families in both English and Spanish.
If you get to know me, you'll quickly learn that I love anything pink, glittery, and sparkly! Most of all, I love creating a classroom where students feel welcome, challenged, and excited to learn every day.
I can't wait for all the learning, laughter, and wonderful memories we'll make together this year!
¡Hola! Me llamo Karen y llevo seis años enseñando matemáticas de quinto grado en Trevista. ¡La enseñanza es una de mis mayores alegrías y me entusiasma mucho comenzar otro año escolar maravilloso!
Cuando no estoy en el salon, me encanta viajar, ir a conciertos, probar nuevos restaurantes, escalar y pasar tiempo con mis amigos. Provengo de una orgullosa familia mexicana, por lo que también hablo español, y me encanta poder conectar con los estudiantes y sus familias tanto en inglés como en español.
Si me conocen un poco, ¡pronto descubrirán que me encanta todo lo que sea rosa, tenga brillantina o sea reluciente! Sobre todo, me apasiona crear un ambiente en el aula donde los estudiantes se sientan bienvenidos, motivados a superar retos y entusiasmados por aprender cada día.
¡Espero con ilusión todo el aprendizaje, las risas y los recuerdos maravillosos que crearemos juntos este año!
