Parent/Family Corner

Class Donation

In addition to the required school supplies, second grade is asking for a $20 donation from each student. This money will be used to buy extra snacks for students who forget, craft supplies for projects and holidays, classroom incentives, and MUCH MORE. Any amount that you can contribute is greatly appreciated! You can send cash or a check (Edison Elementary). You may also donate online through My School Bucks. If you donate through My School Bucks, please let me know so that I can keep track of all donations! Thank you!

Parent Portal

Please let me know if you need help logging into your Parent Portal. Every family should have an account. Here you will find useful information regarding student grades, behavior, and district testing information.

Volunteering

If you have not registered as a volunteer with DPS in the past year, you will need to complete an application with a background check through the district before you can volunteer or be a chaperone on field trips. Volunteers will need to upload an ID when completing the application.

If you are not sure whether you are on the approved volunteer list, please check with the office. Please use the link below to register.

If you plan to volunteer in the school, it is highly encouraged to attend one of the volunteer training sessions. Please contact the office if you would like more information on the training.

Remember that for security reasons we need all visitors and volunteers to sign in at the main office.  If you come to school at any time during the day, you need to come through the front doors.

IN SCHOOL MEDICATION FORMS

In order for students to take ANY type of medication at school, they must have an in-school medication form and the medication must be kept with the school nurse. You can get this form through the school office. Students should not bring their own medication to school or administer it to themselves. This includes cough drops. Please make sure that the nurse has up-to-date information and medication for any serious medical needs such as asthma or severe allergies.
