Designed in conjunction with the Community College of Denver, this course emphasizes the reading and analysis of literature (fiction, drama, and poetry). We will explore a vast array of texts and authors, and dig into the literary techniques they use to reveal human nature and impact the audience.
Guaranteed Transfer (GT) Pathways Course Statement: The Colorado Commission on Higher Education has approved LIT 115 for inclusion in the Guaranteed Transfer (GT) Pathways program in the GT-AH2 category. For transferring students, successful completion with a minimum C‒ grade guarantees transfer and application of credit in this GT Pathways category. For more information on the GT Pathways program, go to http://highered.colorado.gov/academics/transfers/gtpathways/curriculum.html.
Checkpoints can be completed until a project deadline. They are meant to keep you on track with the steps of a project, so I've put checkpoint deadlines in the course calendar to help you manage your time and stay on track with course expectations. If you don't finish the checkpoint with the rest of the class, please assume it is homework and finish it as soon as you can. Set up Office Hours help if you need!
NO late projects accepted. To receive credit for your projects, you MUST submit a complete final product and have all green or yellow checkpoints by the deadline.
As long as you submit a complete project on time, you will qualify for the 3 week revision window and can improve your scores with as much teacher support as you want!
NO late posts accepted.
Can be taken at your own pace until the end of the quarter!
