Mission Statement:

School Counselors at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Early College are champions of our students’ dreams. We believe that all students deserve every opportunity to shape their future and make our community great.  We equip them with the career, academic, and social emotional skills they need to become agents of change in our community and global society.  Counselors advocate for every student and empower them on their academic journey through data-informed interventions, collaboration with stakeholders, and equitable access to opportunities and resources.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Early College students experience success in their future endeavors as defined by their personal ambitions and dreams. They graduate as great thinkers, great leaders, and great communicators and possess knowledge of who they are through engaging in personal inquiry and continuous growth.  Our students carry this personal awareness into their future as lifelong learners who use their voices for the betterment of themselves and society.
