Before the game...

Denver North High School opened the brand new gym in 1960 but before that North didn't have a gym for a full-on basketball game. The gym the school was using was in the 1913 edition, but that wasn't big enough for basketball games. So the Denver North High School Vikings played games at City auditorium from the 1920’s until after the 1959 season when they move games to Denver North High School.
