Re-teaching/ Re-direct
~ Re-teaching and re-direction is when a teacher will tell a student to stop or take a break. An example of this is, language slips, inappropriate non swear words, and inappropriate language .
~ Re-teaching and re-direction is also for vandalism, theft, careless accidents, teasingly taking others' possessions, and safety concerns.
~ Classroom annoyances are also re-teaching and re-direction: lack of focus / effort, noise making, note passing, silly answers / getting attention.
~ Tech violations are also very much a re-teach re-direct. Examples are: non- serious inappropriate, music / video playing, cell phone seen or heard/ usage.
~ Teasing is the last example for re-teach re-direct: altering names, annoying on purpose, bugging, teasing that is meant to be harmful, and thoughtlessness.
Minor referrals:
~Language/Profanity: Use of swear words, inappropriate hand gestures, and sexual comments.
~Vandalism/Theft: Harassment, taking other people's things, thoughtlessly damaging property, and improper use of equipment/supplies, will all result in minor referrals.
~In-school disruptions: Repeated blurting, continued side talk, and repeated annoyances.
~ Tech violations: Use of phones during class, repeatedly search up sexual videos or anything related to violence. WARNING: You will get flagged by the school if you search something inappropriate up on school computers. The school can see what you search up while on their internet, even on personal phones.
~ Pre-harassment: Put downs, mean spirited teasing, and repeated bugging or annoying.
Major Referrals:
~Language: Purposely directed swear words, repeated use of banned hand gestures, and repeated/sexual connotations.
~ Vandalism/Theft: Stealing, purposely damaging property, or abuse of equipment .
~ Classroom Disruption: Repeated/extreme disruption of the educational process.
~ Harassment/Bullying: Continued disturbance after correction/warning, continued proximity after separations, on the basis of racial/sexual/religious appearance remarks and threats/extortion.
Dress Code Violations
Clothing, writing, or drawings (on skin or other personal items) that refers to drugs, alcohol, tobacco, sex, gangs, violence, hate speech, or profanity.
Clothing that exposes the buttocks, chest, mid-drift, or private areas.
Shirts that do not reach the waistband.
Gang-style attire, collars, spikes, leashes, chains (on cloths), etc.
Hats, hoods, sunglasses (unless doctor prescribed) unless otherwise specified (lunch, special activities)
Bathrobes & blankets
Coats and bulky jackets or long coats
Perfumes and colognes--many people are allergic to perfumes. Please leave them at home
Masks, cosplay, or costumes, flags and props
Any other item deemed inappropriate by administration/counselor.
Food, Candy, & Beverages
Food, candy, and beverages are not generally allowed in the classroom. Gum and small snacks may be allowed at each individual teacher's discretion but should not be seen, not heard and not interfere with the educational process. Gum IS NOT allowed in the gym or the cafeteria. Filled water bottles are encouraged. Only WATER is allowed.
Electronics and Student Devices
Students may have personal devices like gaming devices, cell phones etc. in general they must not be seen or heard during school hours (keep them in your binder or pockets) In classes without teachers permissions. students can use cellphone during passing periods and rec time. (you are no longer allowed to have phones out at lunch).
School Counseling
This is available for every student with proper planning and communication. The counseling can provide support for a student, social concerns, or any questions the student may have. To be able to get same day counseling you have to fill out a blue slip down in the office or a digital one (found in the D.P.M.S. Google classroom).
Lockers
Students will be assigned a locker in one of the main hallways with a combination lock for storage of backpacks, coats, and other personal items. the student is responsible for the locker and what's in it . New dents or damage to the locker can lead to referrals or other punishments. The lockers are school property please take care of them.

Calls to Faculty: If you wish to speak to a teacher it is best to call early in the day and be prepared to leave a massage. Most teachers are working with students through out the day and cannot return calls until brakes or after school.
E-mailing Faculty: A teacher may be able to respond to an e-mail sooner than phone calls. Please, keep the email polite and respectful.
