"I kept finding myself scribbling the phrase, 'Define the Legacy.' What are we going to look back at and say: 'this is what happened with Education during COVID, and on the other side, this is what we learned. I hope that we positively define that legacy."

"It always seemed to be an afterthought -- student with disabilities -- instead of being intentionally included; as being part of the design when you're planning, when you're writing policies, when all of that is happening. Instead of it being an afterthought, or retrofit all students within that box, it's going to be important that moving forward that it's really intentional that we include ALL of our students in our thinking when we're doing that designing."
