What It Takes
State Qualifying 2024

It is that time of year again - state qualifying week. As decisions are being made we as a coaching staff need to keep two big pieces in mind: 

1. What does it take to score in an event at state? 2. What does it take to get to state in an event? (You can even add a 3rd - what does it take to make it to the top heat/flight in events that don't have prelims?)

I have been keeping state statistics dating back to 2007 (since 2005-2006 are missing on the IGHSAU Archive) and have been able to find state qualifying marks online dating back to 2017. Here is a deep dive into answering these questions for each event. Rather than retype all of the data, you can find the spreadsheet embedded below.
