Dowling Wins at Urbandale

Dowling scored a total of 163 team points in this 8-team meet. Like at Ankeny, Urbandale only scored the top 6 places (10-8-6-4-2-1). Here is who scored varsity points for the Maroons:

• 100 meters: Ellie Mead finished in 4th place for 4 points, and Ruby Leman set a new PR finishing in 6th place (1 point).

• 200 meters: Emily Heitzman ran a SB time to finish 2nd (8 points).

• 800 meters: Sadie Reinhardt ran a strong race to finish 3rd (6 points).

• 1500 meters: Liv Hall ran a SB to win the event (10 points), and Molly O'Halloran was right behind her in 2nd with a new PR (8 points)

• 3000 meters: Avery Prichard finished in 3rd place (6 points) and Elizabeth Marsh in 4th (4 points)

• 100 hurdles: Ruby Leman finished in 2nd place (8 points) 

• 400 hurdles: Katherine Banker won setting a new PR (10 points), and Alex Gaskell also set a new PR finishing 3rd (6 points)

• High jump: Alex Gaskell set a NEW SCHOOL RECORD to win (10 points), Kate Nelson finished in 2nd (8 points)

• Long jump: Olivia Meredith finshed in 4th place (4 points)

• Discus: Audrey Ott threw a SB to finish in 2nd place (8 points)

• Shot put: Kenzie Dean tied her SB to finish in 5th place (2 points) *This was later fixed but not on the results sheet, results had wrong distance

• 4x100: Ruby Leman, Emily Heitzman, Shea Johnson, and Ellie Mead win to earn 10 points

• 4x200: Alex Gaskell, Shea Johnson, Emily Heitzman, and Annie Smith set a new SB to win and earn 10 points

• 4x400: Matilda Vizcarra, Veronica Eure, Ashley Gonyo, and Ava Van Ee finish 3rd to earn 6 points

• 4x800: Elise Huegerich, Cora Volp, Sadie Reinhardt, and Molly O'Halloran set a new SB to win and earn 10 points

• Sprint Medley: Franny Brooks, Ellie Mead, Adalyn Jones, and Maddie Nagel win to earn 10 points

• Distance Medley: Marion Boot, Maddie Nagel, Elise Huegerich, and Ava Van Ee finish in 2nd with a new SB to earn 8 points
