The Maroons spent the first Monday of April having groups compete in Ames and Waukee, after Waukee Northwest moved their meet up a day due to forecasted severe weather. The day saw a total of 6 individual champions, 3 relay champions, 12 personal records, 10 season's bests, and 11 athletes competing in an individual event for the first time.

On the track: Olivia Kramer ran her first 100 meter for the season and her time of 12.81 finishing 2nd, while Shea Johnson ran a SB of 13.25 finishing 4th. Ruby Leman won the 100 meter hurdles in a SB 15.49 with Reese Ervin setting a new PR of 16.46 finishing 4th. In the 200, Emily Heitzman set a new SB of 27.17 winning the event. It was a freshman sweep in the 400 meter with Lauren McCoy winning the varsity level and Maddie Nagel winning JV with a new PR of 1:05.84. Reese Ervin continued her solid hurdling day with a season's best of 1:09.84. Ella Anliker led the way in the 800 finishing 3rd overall. Liv Hall beat her 1500 meter PR by 4 seconds, finishing 4th in 5:10.41.
In the field: High Jump led the way with a 1-2 finish, with Alex Gaskell clearing 5'2 and Berit Kallemeier clearing a SB 4'10. Audrey Ott won her second meet in a row taking home first in the varsity Discus division, with Shea Berger (78'11) and Grace Schuler (51'7) setting new PRs in the JV division. In shot put, Yalitza Lovan finished 3rd with a new PR of 35'8 with Yalayzah Lovan throwing a season's best 33'0.5. Nicole Pedersen led the way in Long Jump finishing 8th with a PR of 15'4.5.
Relays: There was a lot of in-meet shuffling of relays at Northwest, leading to some intriguing times and combinations. Here are our top-3 finishers. Our varsity 4x100 of Ruby Leman, Emily Heitzman, Shea Johnson, and Lauren McCoy finished 3rd overall, while our JV 4x100 of Abby Eischeid, Allison Stacy, Marion Boot, and Franny Brooks finished 2nd. The 4x200 of Alex Gaskell, Shea Johnson, Emily Heitzman, and Marion Boot finished 3rd in the varsity division. The 4x800 of Ella Anliker, Elise Huegerich, Molly O'Halloran, and Sally Gaskell set a SB time of 10:03.64. The distance medley team of Abby Eischeid, Franny Brooks, Elise Huegerich, and Liv Hall finished 3rd in varsity, with the truest distance team of Sally Gaskell, Ella Anliker, Avery Muller, and Sadie Reinhardt wond the JV distance medley. Last but not least, the Shuttle Hurdle team of Olivia Kramer, Alex Gaskell, Reese Ervin, and Ruby Leman came away with the victory.

On the track: In the 100, Betty Mateo (15.41) and Nyamouch Ruach (18.86) both PR with Jasalyn Jason (16.06) running a new SB. Elizabeth Marsh runs a strong 1500 meter race to finish 2nd overall. This meet saw new events for Teresa Ume (200), Nyamouch Ruach (200), Willow Jepson (400), Brooklyn Anderson (800), Clare Leto (800), and Ella Chuapoco (1500).
In the field: In the high jump, we had two first time jumpers led by Ava Groeteke finishing 2nd with a clearance of 4'10. Both long jumpers, Marren Dirks (13'7.5) and Nyareech Agau (12'1.5), set new PRs. Alma Drazi had a good showing in the throws, finishing 3rd in the shot put and finishing 4th in the discus with a new PR of 80'2. Brooklyn Anderson also set a SB in the shot put with a throw of 25'11.
Relays: Every athlete but one was in at least one relay at this meet! The highlight of the relays was our 4x800 of Elizabeth Marsh, Ella Chuapoco, Anna Schoessler, and Sofiya Pollard racing in the boys heat as the only girls entry, automatically finishing 1st and everyone running great splits! The 4x400 team of Sofiya Pollard, Veronica Melo-Vazquez, Willow Jepson, and Nellie Johnson finished 4th. The other top finisher in the relays was the second place sprint medley of Jasalyn Jason, Anita Tombe, Nevaeh Russian, and Willow Jepson.
