All classes will access their learning through the Seesaw app and/or Google Classroom. Be aware of spacing, fullstops and ensuring codes are typed accurately when logging on.
If you have any problems with logging on, please contact your child's class teacher or Mr Tuckwell tuckwellr01@dow.catholic.edu.au
Staff may be contacted via Seesaw. Please be mindful that you may not receive a response immediately. We encourage that this communication please remain positive and professional, this is not the forum for negative comments. It can be used for seeking clarification, yet its main purpose is for teachers to provide direct feedback on student work.
A family roster may need to be implemented to share the device between your children. Some tasks do require internet while others do not. Learning tasks can be handwritten into a learning journal that can be photographed and later uploaded onto the class page. Ensure that the device is fully charged at the end of every day. Patience is the key.
We understand that there will be times when online learning cannot be completed. If your child is unwell, please allow them time to rest and recover . A courtesy email to the teacher explaining this is all that is required. The learning platform is progressive and will allow you to review missed work if you wish, however, this is not an expectation.
It is an expectation that students engage in online learning and attempt the daily schedule to the best of their ability. If all work is unable to be completed on the set day, there is flexibility for students to catch up in a time that suits your family and circumstances. Please contact your child's teacher if additional support is required regarding this concern. Your child should not be working at a device for a long period of time.

During a period of isolation and change, it is understandable that your child may be feeling unmotivated and disengaged. This is a good time for self compassion and compassion for others. Talk to your child about how they are feeling and reassure them that these feelings are natural. Physical movement and fresh air can assist in positive wellbeing. Believe in something bigger than yourself; God is with you. Spend time with those who you love and those who love you. Your child and your own well being is paramount to creating a positive learning environment.
Feel free to contact the school if you require further support.
