Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome to our Remote Learning school site.
The purpose of this site is to plan for educational continuity for the students of St Michael's Mittagong and ensure that learning continues for your child in their home environment. In addition, it aims to provide clarity across the school community about the delivery of home learning.
The links to grade websites are a work in motion. The teachers are currently building resources and updating classwork and this site should be checked regularly. This is an evolving website and we welcome any feedback to info@smmdow.catholic.edu.au
All online work for classes is available on your child's Google Classroom or Seesaw. Links to class pages are above. Printed copies of work are available on request and will be similar to the online work. If you have any questions, please contact the school.
For the beginning of Term 2, each child also has a print pack of activities. We ask that a parent collects this pack from the school office. Times for collection are: Monday 27th April, 9am to 11 am; Tuesday 28th April, 9am to 11 am or Wednesday 29th April, 9am to 11 am. For social distancing purposes, we ask that only one adult is in the school foyer at a time when collecting the packs- Thank you :)
Please check this site (student and/or parent) for updated suggested home learning schedules. It is our aim to provide home learning activities for the students every school term day, whilst we are in the period of remote learning. We are aware that there will be times that students may be unable to access these activities at a certain time. This is ok. It is expected though, that each child connects with their class teacher each day through the use of either Seesaw or GOOGLE classroom at 9 am, which will inform their class teacher of their attendance to home learning and for any questions they may have.
ATTENDANCE
An attendance form must be completed each day for each child. Please see the link in your child's SEESAW or GOOGLE CLASSROOM page. We ask that this form is completed by 11:30am each day.
I would like to acknowledge all of our staff, who have worked tirelessly to make this website and home learning available to you.
Thank you for working together with us during this new era of online learning.
Yours sincerely,
Mrs Katrina West - Principal
