Debating

Opportunities for debating are offered throughout the year. 

In 2022 St Johns hosted Tear 7 and 8 debating for Catholic Schools on the South Coast. 

Students in Year 9, 10 and 11 also have the opportunity to be involved in History Debating

St Johns were fortunate to host the year 7 & 8 debating teams from Corpus Christi, Edmund Rice College and St Marys.  Topics for the day included;

That education needs corporate sponsorship and That King Charles the III should be our last Monarch

Years 9 &10 travelled to Edmund Rice and were very competitive on the day with all teams having a successful win.
